Love of Glove

I am over-the-moon in love with this glove! It has fingers! And they fit PERFECTLY! And it's pretty, and soft, and green!

Don't laugh guys, but I've been working on this for months. I've tested 4 or 5 different methods for making fingers and thumbs with jacquard before achieving this. Sideways, backwards, intarsia, jacquard, fingers-first, cuff-up...and the winner is: cuff-up, intarsia.

Such a cool thing to be figuring out. Brilliant. Jacquard gloves.
I hereby throw myself at your feet as a humble pattern tester.

Have you been able to find any old photos, or patterns, of crochet colorwork gloves at all? Surely the Scandinavian crocheters must have worked this out at some point.

Wow!

Up to now I have always claimed that I never saw a crocheted glove I didn't like. This is no longer true!

As for Scandinavian crocheted handwear, I've seen mittens, but not gloves (which doesn't mean they don't exist.

Aha! Someone I can ask this question and feel they know what they're talking about!

What is the difference between intarsia and jacquard, in crochet? I seem to find conflicting information elsewhere on the web, but you seem to clearly understand that there is a difference, and which is which. Can you help me out here?

Carin, same as in knitting: in jacquard both strands are worked along the whole row, in intarsia you have a short strand on a bobbin that you bring into play only in the spot where it appears.
